RETROSPETTO

Ordinary yet extraordinary objects
Editorial book 2023-24

The book RETROSPETTO / Oggetti Comuni Non Comuni was born from the idea of developing an editorial project that would serve as the basis for a hypothetical exhibition, with the central theme of the house museum. The aim is to explore our experiences through memory and the reconstruction of memories, focusing on objects to which we are particularly fond.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on February 15 and will remain open until April 26, 2024, at the Candiani Cultural Center, located in Piazzale Candiani in Mestre (VE).

The editorial project includes two volumes: RETRO: illustrates the common objects exhibited in the exhibition, describing their characteristics and role in everyday life. SPETTO: narrates the memories and stories associated with each object, connecting them to the people they refer to. Both books are divided into four chapters, each dedicated to a member of the family: grandfather, grandmother, mother and father, allowing us to explore the emotional heritage and memories that each of us holds.
